Sofia Franzen lives in Norway and is the mother of two children, 14-year-old Ella and 16-year-old Leon, who lives with Duchenne.
She manages a farm and loves all things outdoors, such as hiking, swimming, and skiing.
She found Hope for Gus and the Everest to End Duchenne fundraiser on social media and immediately contacted them to join the trek! She noted that she had never had an opportunity to do something so big to raise awareness for her son’s disease. Sofia raised an impressive amount of money for the 2023 ETED and the trip was life-changing for her.
A fierce advocate for her son and a wonderful addition to the team, Sofia was asked to join the board of Hope For Gus and assist Tonya in leading future fundraising treks in Nepal.
